Autumnal Waterfall 20 – SnM S2 E3

It’s time for the next installment of Sam and Max, Season 2, now on Episode 3. Oh joy.

Last time, our dog (Sam) and rabbity thing (Max) solved the mystery of the Bermuda Triangle through point and click hijinx where nothing they do will cause them to lose. But this episode is different. This is an episode where death the possible! Aieeeeeeeeeeeeee

To st...

Autumnal Waterfall 19 – Blood Money

No one found dead yet. Police still suspects blood money.

If you remember from last time, Agent 47 had just gotten the information on the target and is now on the hunt. There is one target and two bonus targets for more money. Also, if you have actually played the level and looked around, you’ll probably already know who are the three targets. Hint, they’re the only ones wearing colored patient’s clothes.

Now, to take all three of them out and get paid.

Here is target on...

Unbeaten Games: The Untold Saga – Episode IX

Just over a week later, another one bites the dust…

Last night I completed Star Wars: The Force Unleashed. As I have become accustomed with doing, I did not push myself to beat it on the hardest difficulty, only on one of the regular ones. Still, several achievements are alluding me; however, since they are not a part of this quest, I shall forego obtaining them for now and move onto another game.

Short Review of Star Wars: The Force Unleashed

Pros:

  • Story endorsed by George Lucas, making it a part of Star Wars Canon
    • Compelling and engaging story
  • Gameplay mechanics made me feel in complete control of the force
  • Pretty decent voice actors (even though lips didn’t move perfectly realistically)
  • Physics engine and AI reactions were amazing

Cons:

  • After playing SW:KOTOR on the Xbox and a...

Autumnal Waterfall 18 – SnM S2 E2 P2

Welcome back to Sam and Max, Season 2, Episode 2 for more pointing and clicking and general badassery.

Previously, Sam and Max wound up on Easter Island, which happens to house the Bermuda Triangle, and a whole bunch of other triangles. There were babies on the island, taking Easter heads, the head of the statue of Abraham Lincoln!

Sam and Max’s goal, to stop the infestation of triangles running amok. Will they succeed? Yeah, probably. Will everyone be better off? Probably not.

Last ...

Autumnal Waterfall 17 – Blood Money

Opera singer found dead, police suspect blood money is involved.

Agent 47 is back and this time, he has a longer mission. This mission is broken up into two parts. The first part is saving another agent that botched up his assassination assignment. The location, a treatment facility for abusers of alcoholism. Only the cured or the dead may leave.

Spoilers, they (probably) aren’t an evil organization, just really tough on the patients.

Second spoilers, the first semblance of an overarching in mission plot starts in this mission. Though there are always newspaper articles in post mission debriefs that I never showed. The articles in their are also part of the plot. And the cutscenes of course.

Now then, let’s save Agent Smith, if that is his real name.

First off, ...

Unbeaten Games: The Untold Saga – Episode VIII

Two weeks later….

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is complete! Now, I didn’t beat it on Veteran (same as Black Ops), but I finished it on the regular difficulty – making it eligible for removal from my ‘Must Beat’ list. I still plan on going back to obtain the veteran campaign achievements, along with the Spec Ops mission. For now, however, I will be grabbing the last three pieces of intel and then cooking dinner.

Short Review of CoD: Modern Warfare 3:

Pros:

  • Plays like any other shooter so its easy to pickup
  • Loved the story, even though I forgot the other stories from the first two ‘Modern Warfare’ games (Black Ops didn’t connect as far as I saw)
  • Price = Badass

Cons:

  • One piece of intel was nearly impossible to find
  • Lack of things to complain about (I really loved this game: 9...
